The People

Rick and Tyes Cook have both been in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years. Manifest Bread was born in 2018 out of a passion for quality handmade products. It was a small start, as many of these ventures tend to be. Close friends were the lucky recipients of those first “tester loaves”. Slowly but surely demand for our breads grew and free loaves were given out in exchange for donations. Now we are thrilled to provide you a full menu of breads and accompaniments at our bakery in Riverdale Park!

Manifest bread is a handmade product from start to finish. All of the sourdoughs contain organic ingredients and are leavened with a well cared for sourdough culture. Each loaf that you receive from us goes through a multi-day process to develop flavor and texture.

The Process

Manifest started with a commitment to high quality, fresh and flavorful bread. They sources their grains from smaller local growers in the mid-Atlantic.

Their stone mill, hand built in Vermont, processes wheat, rye, spelt and more. All breads are naturally leavened, grains sprouted in house.
